My project:
«Mathematical modelling of mobility and bio-physical interaction of TMs in biofilms»
Biography:
I am Zirhumanana Balike . I was born in Luhihi, a village of South-Kivu, in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). I hold an Msc in Mathematical Sciences earned at the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) in Senegal in 2019 after completing a Bsc in Mathematics at the Institut Supérieur Pédagogique de Bukavu (Higher Pedagogical Institute of Bukavu, in DRC). I want to pursue doctoral studies as I would like to achieve my dream of becoming a university professor and researcher to help talented young people in my country to access education of good quality. Besides my research time, I like to travel, to admire nature, to listen to music (gospel and congolese rumba) and to read books related to personal growth.

My project:
«Mathematical modeling of regulatory effect of TMs in microbial biofilms»
Biography:
I am Julien, from France. I graduated from the National Graduate School of Chemistry of Montpellier in 2018 as an engineer in Chemistry with a major in Decontamination and Environment management. I did three internships in environmental chemistry and an Erasmus Placement year at Queen’s University Belfast. My motivation for doing the doctorate: I have been interested in Nature Based Solutions and Circular Economy for a few years. After two years working in the industry, this program strongly appealed to me as an opportunity to be a part of a meaningful project in a multidisciplinary team. In my free time, I love travelling, racket sports and hiking.
